# Default text field

Hi Prismic team,

On my last projects in Prismic I noticed that there is no simple text input field to place. If I use the text input for headlines, I have to select at least one headline type. But if the text of the input is not used as a headline this can be confusing. So a simple and clean text input field without formats would be good to have.

Hi @feicht.marco. The Prismic Key Text field is a plain text field. You can read more about it here:
