# Is there any way to create a prismic repository via API?

Hey,

I would like to create prismic repository via API, is there any way to do it?

It's because me and my team are planning to build a platform with a lot of websites using prismic as CMS. So I need to create one prismic repository for each website.

Hi,

The CLI lets you create a new repository, but it must be associated with a theme.

Meaning, you can create a new repo, but you must also bootstrap a project with a Prismic theme in the process.

There is no other public way of creating a repository via an API/CLI, and there are no plans to support this in the near future.
