We have 3 different websites for our UK, DE and ES customers and we have an endpoint to fetch content authors for an integration field. These are different for each locale. Is there a way to pass the locale so we can determine which data to feed back to Prismic?
Another option could be to show only one of the fields in the custom type based on locale. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, this isn't possible. I've marked this as a feature request.
What you could do though, is create a Slice for your integration field and have a variation for each language, marked clearly, with each variation linked to a different catalogue.
