Just started learning Prismic and was following the Suburbia YouTube video. I didn't get far just got my local repo set up, slice machine installed and running. Then I created a page in Slice Machine just like in the tutorial and when I pushed it, Prismic gives me an error, but no codes or clues.
Not sure what happened or why. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for all your help.
EDIT: I can get into Prismic, but as soon as I select my repo I get this every time. It's confusing because I haven't changed any code, it's an empty page, and virtually the very beginning of the tutorial.
Thanks for the details. If you go to /builder/settings/locales/, are you able to set a master locale manually? Do you remember having set one up when you created the repository?
@Ezekiel I've done exactly as the tutorial said to do (about the 25 minute mark), I don't recall setting a master locale. I tried to find what you are directing me to do, but I can't find it. Is the path you gave me for my local repo? I've looked around and don't see builder folder.
I wound up deleting my repo twice. After the first delete I followed the tutorial again and got the exact same result. The second time I didn't follow the tutorial, I just used the terminal commands that Prismic prompted me to use. So there is something in the tutorial that is getting deleted I think that shouldn't be, at least not yet. Thanks for your help.
Apologies I couldn't get back to you yesterday. I'm glad you figured it out, and thank you for flagging this for us! We're going to have a look at the tutorial and what might be happening here, to prevent this occurring to other users. Either way your solution will be helpful for anyone running into the same issue, so thanks for that as well
for example if i create a repo called abc then delete this repo
and then create a new repo with the same name it will not ask for the locale it will skip it therefore you will always get prismic has encountered an error
to fix this i generally click go back after i create a a new repo with previous name to set the default locale
