In fact, I have created a feature request for it and sent it to our @features-team, and we will let you know in case of any updates.
A nonoptimal workaround can be to copy the document to another locale and retrieve it from API from the alternate languages as discussed in this thread so that you don't need to edit all documents in other locals.
