Creating 301 redirects for existing URLs

I am managing the SEO side of my client that is managed through Prismic. I want to add ongoing 301 redirects to change old URLs to new URLs, where we feel the need.

How to add 301 redirects to these URLs?

This is something that would need to implemented in both the repository and the code of you website project. Here are some solutions on how to configure that in the custom types.

How to handle 301s

Any ideas for how to handle 301s in Prismic? Our marketing team needs to be able to add and edit 301s. I was thinking of simply creating a Custom Type for 301s, one field for the old URL and another field for where we want that traffic redirected to.
