Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the correct thread, but I was trying to figure out if it was possible to add custom labels inside the static zone of a page (instead of inside specific slices)?
Thanks!

Hey Sofia,
Welcome to the community
I moved your question that you posted in the other thread here.
When you say a custom label can you give me more detail on what you mean?
Is it a label on a rich text?
Or just a label for selecting configurations? Because if it's that's your use case the label are just strings in a select field which is what you can add in a static zone. This field can be your configuration options selector.
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks.
Hi Phil,
Apologies for posting in the wrong thread.
I do mean custom label on a rich text, yes. For context, we already have custom rich text labels in our website, mostly for code inserts inside a paragraph, which works fine in various slices, but we couldn't figure out how to do in a static zone. Are we missing something?
No worries.
It should work exactly the same as in a Slice. You need to edit the custom-type JSON directly. What is the problem you're seeing exactly?
This can be done in the custom type builder if you're using a legacy set up or in the project files if you're using Slice Machine.
Indeed, we just weren't looking in the right folder, thanks Phil!
