Experiencing 404 errors on a page when updating JSON Prismic template

I have had this happen multiple times. I have several JSON templates that I update regularly that are used across many pages on the company website. There have been times where when I have completed an update to a JSON template (adding some extra fields), some pages that utilise that JSON then return 404 errors.

A quick fix I have found is to update content on the pages that return the errors in Prismic.

Has anyone experienced this? If so any advice as to why it’s happening?

Could you explain a little bit further where are you changing this JSON templates?

  • Where are you editing/updating these JSONs. In the code of a project, in the Prismic Writing room?
  • How did you found that updating content fixed this errors?
