Link to a non https:// external link

Hi there,

We use Prismic pages on both our website & in our app, as a webview.
In one of those pages, i'm trying to hyperlink to the App store, but that link doesnt work.

I figured that every time i point to an external https link, the webview opens the pages within the webview, and not in an external browser (which is a good thing).

So, the issue: in the article, i want to link to the app store directly, a url starting with: "itms-apps://apps.apple.com/". But everytime i choose to link to a webpage, Prismic automatically ads https:// - which points to the appstore in webview..

Is there a way - without me needing developers, to solve this?

Thanks!

Hi Philippe,

Welcome to Prismic community, I will try to help you on this.

I’m checking with our dev team to see if there is a work-around to allow linking to non http://.

I will get back to you once I have some info,

Fares

Hi Philippe,

I apologize for the long delay, this thread has been forgotten.
Our dev team has proposed to register the link as https:// and then replace it in your code by itms-apps:// would this be helpful for you?

If you’re not putting these URLs in RichText or repeatable link fields, I believe a less retorse solution would consist in creating a key text field to handle these. It would involve your developers as they would have to code the link behavior but it’s not the worst thing in the world
