When creating a new doc in the Page Builder the title always auto-populates with "Untitled..." and does not use the UID or Title field as would be expected.
Is this a bug or is there a way to fix this in the Page Type model?

I also want to draw attention to this problem. I previously used the "useAsTitle" configuration attribute of the custom type as explained here. But it unfortunately doesn't work with the new Page Builder either.
Also, I would like to ask the Prismic UX team to consider repositioning the document title field with the field currently in the main content area: "Add new tag here". The placement of the document title is not intuitive. I want to emphasize that the ability to name a document is (in my opinion) much more important than the ability to add tags. Therefore, switching the two fields would reduce the distance to the actual document name, which is the primary field used in document searches. I think such changes would significantly improve the content management experience.
And thanks for your hard work!
Hi team,
Thanks for your feedback. We haven't implemented the functionality to auto-populate the doc's title based on UID or title field. I'll update this thread when it's implemented.
Cheers,
Guy
Any updates on this? Many of our clients are confused/annoyed by this and it's difficult to explain why it's not working as it's such a fundamental issue.
Hi there,
No updates on when it will be fixed at this stage. We'll let you know as soon as we have more information.
Best,
Guy
