Can you change the spelling of a tag across documents?

Hi all,

I noticed I haven't been keeping the way I spell tags the same over time. Sometimes I use a capital, sometimes I don't.

Is there any way to change the spelling of a tag for all documents it has been attached too?

I just noticed this recently as well. In most tagging systems, tags are NOT case sensitive.

To me it looks like there's a lack of experience on the engineering team to implement case-sensitive tags.

I think this is by design. Not a big deal.

However, I'd like to be able to change a tag :slight_smile:

As you've probably seen the only way to change a tag right now is to do so in any documents using that tag, so there is no bulk tag editing option. I agree this is tedious.

I would love to see this too and perhaps it's something we can begin to explore now that we have separated our tags API and we have begun work on some Bulk Actions which is a BETA feature right now.

I know now we are having more teams working on this stuff we can begin to think about adding features like this, but right now this isn't being worked on.

I will pass your feedback to the team in charge of this to see what they think and I'll add this to our feature request tracker.

Thanks @Phil! I did exactly what you said. I went to all documents, made a new tag and saved it. Over time unused tags are removed. It took me one full evening to manually change all tags. Tedious for sure. haha!
