When we upload photos, we add the alt text and caption info. But when I search for them later, I'm finding that the fields with the alt text are either cut off or just have one word. The weird thing is the full alt text still shows up when you embed it on a page—is there something we're doing wrong with the field in the media library? The fields are really important for us to be able to reuse photos and not have to go hunting for caption information somewhere else.
Use case: I'm looking for a bunch of press photos that I know were uploaded for our Milberg exhibition. I search "Milberg" in the media library. I scroll and find all the press photos from the exhibition. But when I click into one the alt text just reads "Milberg" with none of the actual caption information. The thing is, I know the full alt text is there because when I search for "Niagara Falls" instead and click on the same file, the alt text changes. Why is the alt text different depending on your search term? And why does the alt text get cut off?
