Labels disappear after copy-pasting content in text block

Hey!

If I want to move around a phrase/paragraph with a label applied within the same text document, the label disappears. Is this a bug and how can I avoid that?

Here is what I did:

  1. I highlighted a specific sentence in my content and applied correctly the label for it.
  2. I copied the sentence with highlight label and pasted it somewhere else because it is more fitting there.
  3. It still visually shows me there is a label applied on it. So I hit publish.
  4. On the published page, the highlighted label isn't applied anymore on the content.

Any ideas what I could do?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

Hello @sarah.schedler

Welcome to the Prismic community, and thanks for posting us.

It's true that labels don't appear on the published pages when you copy-paste the text, although it appears in the editor. You need to apply labels again after copying the text.

I understand that copying past the exact text is more feasible, and applying labels again can be extra work for you. But this is something you need to apply manually.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Priyanka

Hello Priyanka,

Thank you for your reply! It was very helpful.
I guess I just have to be aware of applying the label again after copy-pasting.

Have a nice day!
Sarah
