I am creating our website with Prismic and Next.js so that our marketing team can handle the content, while we keep control of the components (slices) and how they can be used. So far it has been going great, but there are still a couple of things I need to figure out.
One of them is bulk updating a slice across multiple pages. For example, we have a slice "A" that is used on N pages and all slices have the same title and description. When the marketing team wants to change the description of this slice for all pages it is used on, how can they do this without going to each page and updating each separately?
I found this article about how to export documents, so I'm assuming this can be used for this purpose, but I can't see this anywhere in my settings. Could this be because we are still on the free tier (we are still in the process of setting everything up)?
Welcome to the Prismic community, and thanks for posting this question to us.
As you already figured out that it is possible with the Import/Export future. This feature is available with the Medium plan. Find more detail about the pricing here.
I don't really feel like it's worthwhile for anyone to upgrade to the Medium plan just for this feature. There must be a way to do this using the API, or are we really forced to pay ~$93 just for this?
Unfortunately, there is no other way at the moment, either with the Import/export feature or you need to do it manually. I will add this to a feature request to update content in bulk for future improvements.
Thanks,
Priyanka
