Content Editing experience very buggy recently

I am a long time Prismic user. Recently I've been experiencing many bugs in the editor. For example:

  • I am viewing a document, I push the back button (in the Prismic UI) and it switches the locale. Also some other redirect behavior like that when using the back button.
  • I make changes, it says it is auto-saving, but the publish button doesn't become active. When I refresh the changes are gone. I sometimes have to repeat the process over and over until it works.
  • If I use the "Copy to another locale" functionality (adding multiple documents to a release), it often gives me empty fields for referenced documents and I need to manually fix all of them. The referenced documents all do exist in the locale I am copying to.

Are other users also experiencing this or similar?

Yes I've had lots of bugs recently, such as: unable to publish until a hard refresh, images not attaching, as well as it being painfully slow.

@leopold, I'd like a little bit more information on every point raise so we can investigate each accurately. In general, for all three, any recording/screenshot would help us see what you see and recreate on our side, even better if it's with Jam so it captures the browser console.

Does this happen consistently? I'm not able to recreate this. Is this in the context of anything specific, such as releases, or is it across tabs (like it happens when clicking the back button from an Archived page, etc)? As this been happening for long?

I have heard about this bug before. I'll see if we can cross-investigate with the other repository that raised this, although they weren't sure they could consistently reproduce this. Have you noticed any patterns on your side? This would help us narrow it down.

Does this happen outside of a release? I'll try to recreate on my end and see what happens. Again, any recordings of this would be super helpful.

@grafik I hear you on the slowness, I've experienced it too. Full disclosure, we do want to investigate this and make sure performance is on top of our priorities as it impacts quality of life when using the product, but I can't give you an ETA on a resolution or more steps from the devs, who are working on a very tight roadmap at the minute. I'll make sure the topic doesn't stay buried and see what we can do, I wish I had something more encouraging to share!

Regarding the images not attaching, I'd love to see a recording or any more details so I can recreate (any specific images, specific pages, does it feel "random" or happens every time? etc).
