Whenever I change the dimention of an image field in the slice, I will have to re-upload the image so that the image takes the new dimentions. What should I do so that as I change an image's field dimention...the image resizes after the page is uploded?

Unfortunately this is the best way to do this for now. This process is by design so that if a breaking change is made in a custom type then it won’t cause pages to break on live website.
One workaround is to use import/export, which starts on the medium plan. If you export all your documents as they are a re-import them this will trigger all the images to use the new dimensions.
