Preventing tracking codes GA/GTM/Hubspot tags from affecting site-speed?

Contacted Prismic Chat directly but they haven't been able to help. Has anyone had any success preventing tracking codes from negatively affecting Google Page Speed Insights score? It's a massive negative contributing factor to both our mobile and desktop speeds currently.

Thanks!

Hi Nicolas,

Welcome to the community!

I'll be happy to look into this with you. Can you give me more details on exactly which scripts you're talking about, maybe with screenshots of you browser console etc?

Thanks.

Hey Phil! Absolutely!

Not sure if the page speed insights link itself might be better in this case: https://pagespeed.web.dev/report?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwearewildgoose.com%2Fuk%2F

You'll notice under "Reduce the impact of third-party code" is where most of the issue comes into play and that's really what I'm looking for help with

We've struggled on our end to find a suitable solution to prevent the load time being so significant

Hey Phil,

Just want to chase this up

Hey Nicolas,

These scripts are coming along with our toolbar which is used for the content Previews, the only way to remove them is to remove this script and disable Previews.

If you clear cookies and load the page, the cookies are empty. If Prismic would add cookies (GA etc.) for non administrators, it would mean we would have to add a cooky notice telling prismic is tracking users of our website when it's hooked to Prismic. I bet you only get these cookies when you are using the preview functionality but I would like some elaboration from Prismic if I am wrong.

Hey Bram,

Your assumption about cookies is correct. You will only see these cookies if you are a logged-in Prismic user like you said for preview purposes.

Thanks.
