Rich-text right-align (rtl) buggy typing behavior

Hi Prismic, right-aligned rich-text paragraphs type very strangely?

  • left/right arrow keys are reverse
  • delete doesn't delete from the cursor
  • punctuation flips to the interior side when toggling
  • typing punctuation also added to interior side sometimes

I found this closed topic but doesn't seem to list these bugs

Thanks very much for submitting this issue! I tried out RTL on my own, and got the exact same behavior as you. I've submitted a ticket with our support team, and I'll let you know how it progresses.

Hey @evvvritt ,

The dev team looked into this (they were doing an overhaul on the RTL functionality, which is why it took a little while to get a response). They responded that the RTL is meant for RTL languages, like Arabic. With those languages, it's working fine. Otherwise, it's not meant to work with LTR languages like English.

What's your usecase for using RTL with English characters?
