What happens after transferring ownership?

Hey there! I've got a client-project which nearly comes to an end.
Once it's done, I'll transfer the ownership to my client.

But since it's the first time doing this with prismic, I wanted what happens while/after transferring the ownership?

In the repo, I'm gathering the CMS-Data from my prismic account. Now I'm wondering whether Prismic and the CMS will continue to work out of the box after I've transferred ownership, or whether I need to store the client account in the repo or do any other adjustments?

Hey! Once you transfer ownership of the Prismic repository to your client, they will have full control over it, including managing content and settings. The CMS will continue to function as before, so you shouldn’t need to make any adjustments in the repo regarding the CMS data. Just ensure that the client has access to the necessary credentials to manage the repository after the transfer.

Also, please keep the following in mind:

  1. Payment Details: Any payment information will remain linked to the repository. You might continue to get billed after the transfer unless you remove your credit card details. If you'd like to do this, please contact us through the help center.
  2. For Paid Plans: In the Settings > User section, you can select the user to whom you want to transfer ownership and click "Transfer ownership."
  3. For Free Plans: Free plans allow only one user. Transferring ownership means you'll lose access to the repository once the new owner accepts the transfer. You can cancel the transfer at any time before acceptance by clicking "Cancel."
