We really need a "delete all unused media" button, as things don’t get replaced — i think that’s even a good thing — it’s pretty common to have multiple times the same "asset" in different versions lying around..
This is not only time consuming for content editors (searching a specific version), but probably resource heavy for prismic to maintain.
Hi @dino, thanks for reaching out with this suggestion. We don’t currently have any plans to add something like this, but I will let the @features-team know and they will add your suggestion to our feature request tracker as a possible improvement for the future.
Let us know if you have any other suggestions at any point
thanks @Levi, please let me know when you start working on it if the @features-team need anything — feedback, more details or insights — feel free to reach me, this feature would be ultra awesome to us.
Our content editors would love to have this feature! At the moment it is very difficult for them to delete old media items. We want to delete the old items to make it easier for content editors to know which images to use, but right now people can’t delete images because they risk creating broken links.
This is a good use case, I can see how that could be frustrating and how this would solve the issue.
I’ve added this to the details of open feature request, if/when we have any updates we’ll let you know.
Thanks.
