Since a week ago, the media library has changed. Now, it filters only the name of the pages and not the pages that contain specific words.
It is very disadvantaging when I want to build internal links!
How can I filter now all the pages that contain a specific word or phrase?
Please help, building internal links for new publications in a library of hundreds of pages is now very difficult.
When you say media library, do you mean the document list? And when you talk about internal links and you describing creating link in the page builder? A screenshot would help me understand better
At the moment, the new search functionality filters results by page names, and we realize that this change may have impacted your workflow. We’re currently exploring ways to improve the search capabilities to accommodate more specific filtering, including finding pages that contain particular words or phrases within their content.
In the meantime, one potential workaround could be using more targeted keywords in your page names to help improve the search results. We’re actively gathering feedback and working on updates to better address these kinds of needs, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these improvements.
Previously, when I searched for a term, such as "eczema," I would get a complete list of pages where this word appeared. Now, however, the results seem to be filtered, and I only see pages specifically about the topic instead of all instances where the term is mentioned.
This type of search was really helpful for me to find pages for building internal links between correlated topics. For example, on this page about asthma, I created internal links to related topics like "eczema," "allergic rhinitis," and "hay fever."
This issue started about a week ago. The search results now only seem to filter documents, and this is a feature that's very important for my workflow.
Thank you for clarifying. For the moment, the new search will only search the title of the document. The team implemented this new search as it will enable partial word search and allow us to iterate fast.
I've passed your feedback on to the team, and they'll reach out to you when they have any updates.
Thank you for passing the feedback to the team. I had a chat with Işıl Tatlıcıoğlu a while ago about the new search feature, but it was still in progress at that time.
For us, it's great to be able to search for a document easily, but it's also essential to find a specific "word" or "phrase" within hundreds of documents (and if you have any tips for doing so from Prismic let me know).
And yes, please update me if there are any updates.
Thank you
Hi there! are there any updates on how to filter the pages containing a word or specific phrase?
(e.g. search where "fever" is mentioned in all my documents)
This will help us to build internal links between topically related pages.
Thanks,
C.
